The System Administrator reports directly to an assigned Project Manager who receives technical guidance and instruction from the C2MS Chief Engineer. The ideal candidate is a proactive learner and problem solver to develop automated solutions to prevent recurring problems.
The System Administrator will have the technical expertise in the design, deployment, management, and operational sustainment of production systems and enterprise services with the customer’s cloud-based environment.
Developing and implementing automated processes and procedures for the operations and maintenance of the cloud-based environment, including patching, monitoring, tuning, backups, and reporting
Designing and implementing cloud-based architectures for the deployment of new products and services in the cloud-based environment
Migrating legacy on-premises services and enterprise products in the cloud-based environment, utilizing cloud best practices, scripting, and automation wherever possible
Identifying and mitigating threats and security issues in compliance with the security posture
Performing system upgrades and improvements, utilizing automated processes and procedures
Adhering to the DevOps lifecycle, using industry-standard tools and practices
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
DoD 8570-compliant certification is required. Security+ and CISSP accepted.
AWS Associate, AWS Professional, or Red Hat certifications highly desired.
