Job Description

GDIT is hiring Trainer/Technical Writer to support the client Defense Health Agency (DHA).  DHA is a joint, integrated Combat Support Agency that enables the Army, Navy, and Air Force medical services to provide a medically ready force and ready medical force to Combatant Commands in both peacetime and wartime. The DHA supports the delivery of integrated, affordable, and high quality health services to Military Health System (MHS) beneficiaries and is responsible for driving greater integration of clinical and business processes across the MHS

The Trainer/Technical Writer Plans, coordinates, and conducts training and related instructional programs for customer personnel. Writes technical copy for various operation and maintenance manuals and prepares related technical documentation.




  • Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience.




  • 10-15 years of directly related experience in the development and delivery of technical training programs.
  • Top Secret or Secret clearance with SSBI investigation
  • Experience with MHS/DHA applications

  • 3-5 years of directly related experience in course instruction.
  • Ability to review, test and evaluate the work of others
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices involved in technical research and writing.
  • Knowledge of and ability to uses various word-processing and desktop publishing software applications.
  • Knowledge of the organization’s products and services, customer requirements, purpose and structure of required documentation, and end user’s level of understanding.
  • Effective written communications skills.
  • Strongly preferred strong innovative and analytical ability
  • Must be a team player and have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be fully competent to work under general direction on complex projects usually on specific assigned projects, issues and problems
  • Ability to multitask
