The Senior Enterprise Architect reporting to the Section VP for Information Technology Solution with General Dynamic IT Global Solutions Division. Focused on RFP solutions including: assisting assessing opportunities through gap analysis, assessing teaming partners, provides draft and final input to technical, management, past performance, or personnel sections of proposal volumes, and functioning as a proposal or volume lead (book boss). The Solutions Architect will also be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and direction of a broad range of activities associated with the solutions provided throughout the proposal development process. S/he contributes and directs the preparation, presentation, and follow-up of proposals.
Responsibilities include: using inclusion and exclusion criteria determining whether an identified potential future RFP is pursuable/biddable. If a pursuit is approved, support will be provided conducting gap analysis to qualify and developing technical solutions, basis of estimates, staffing structures, and other aspects of solutions in services bids. If a bid is approved, translating RFP requirements into initial outlines and compliance matrices, providing solutions, developing initial drafts, and driving final deliverables. The Solutions Architect participates with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives, then translates and communicates the proposal win strategy to the proposal team. Additional activities include review and editing of proposal sections and volumes, understanding and meeting the proposal schedule, coordinating and working with other proposal and review team members, preparing documentation for formal reviews, and working in close collaboration with the Capture Manager.
Required Skills: Technical solution development, proposal writing, and leadership experience required in the Federal market to include DoD. The candidate must be highly organized and have outstanding proposal organizational, writing and editing skills. The candidate must have the ability to work to and meet deadlines, excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong meeting facilitation, leadership briefing and team coaching skills are required. The ability to lead dispersed teams is paramount. The candidate must have the ability to work collaboratively with program technical staff and produce quality documents for delivery to a variety of clients.
Characteristics necessary for success include: strong initiative and drive, must possess the ability to inspire and mentor others and overcome constraints. Must be highly competent in critical analysis, reasoning and problem-solving skills. Must have a very good working knowledge of operating and maintaining Data Centers, Networks, VoIP/VoSIP, Storage, VDI, Monitoring and Management solutions, and Video Telecommunications, Internet Protocol Television, and monitoring systems.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
15-20 or more years of related information technology experience.
