We are seeking a Subject Matter Specialist (Informatica) to support our Justice Programs team in Washington, DC. In this position, you will support the FBI’s Insider Threat Center 

Personnel supporting this task:

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Informatica in a Big Data environment;
  • Serve as the senior data integration administrator
  • Support and Administer to ETL tools of PowerCenter, PowerExchange CDC and DataQuality.
  • Senior Data Integration Administrator Job Duties:
    • Administer Informatica
    • Carry out Deployment/Migrations
    • User Management in domain
    • Work on PowerCenter Grid Environment
    • Shell Scripting for building alert mechanisms
    • Dealing with Informatica support to resolve issue.
    • Administer PowerExchange CDC for Oracle
  • Manage Extraction maps, Capture Registration maps and Data maps.
  • Manage Metadata manager
  • Administer DataQuality application.
  • Work with Oracle and SQL databases
  • Evaluates success of product modification and regularly monitors performance to ensure ongoing utility;
  • Resolves complex issues as they arise;
  • Provides subject matter expertise in assigned projects through all phases of the development lifecycle;
  • Defines field of use, standards, and best practices around assigned products and technologies;



1. Bachelors Degree in a related discipline.


2. Masters Degree preferred.


  • (Preferred) A four-year (4-year) degree in math, science, statistics, engineering or related fields;
  • A minimum of five (5+) years Informatica experience;
  • Five (5+) years of demonstrable work experience with Oracle;
  • Understanding of software engineering processes and system development life cycles;
  • Strong problem solving skills and capability to understand and set direction for complex technology integration;
  • Knowledge of development tools and programming languages, including but not limited to: platform experience with Linux, Unix, Windows; Java or Shell scripting; SQL;
  • Multiple Information Technology certifications with provisioning technologies such as PowerCenter, Data Integration Certification, Informatica, Big Data Certification, Oracle;
  • Extensive knowledge of methodology, federal information system policies (e.g. NIST 800.53, FISMA, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), configuration management) and knowledge of the FBI’s mission and processes.
