GEOGRAPHIC INFO SYSTEMS (GIS) Programmer or Analyst for Natural Resource Programs
GIS Analyst or GIS Programmer working with US Forest Service processing data for national lands projects involving vegetation, watershed and other projects. Work on this project requires knowledge of and demonstrated skill in the use of the following software: ESRI GIS products such as ArcGIS, Arc SDE, and use of databases including SQL and Access (Microsoft) databases. Oracle is a plus.
Exciting position in Vallejo CA, supports various Forest Service areas and involves processing spatial and tabular data, data manipulation with ArcGIS, extensions, standard toolboxes and python programming. Will provide Quality Control support of National Applications GIS Data and other Data. Databases include working with customized SQL. Position may permit work in Sacramento.
Responsible for GIS programming with ArcGIS and extentions. Designing, planning, implementing and administering GIS software and databases, including security, access, and documentation.
