Job Description

  • Candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, configuration, and preventative maintenance of IT equipment, Network equipment and/or Telecommunications equipment.
  • Answers internal inquiries and troubleshoots hardware failures either in person or on the phone.
  • Performs moves, adds, and changes, as required.
  • Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for creating and/or updating enterprise drawings on circuit connectivity.
  • Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety hardware and software testing tools and techniques.
  • Installs and configures applications software and related hardware (such as desktops and related peripherals like printers, scanners, drives, monitors, video teleconferencing, and Voice over IP hardware).
  • Works closely with the Project Managers for new installations and de-installations.
  • Provides technical support and training to end users.
  • Documents baseline changes by updating all associated drawings (such as topology drawings, circuit drawings, rack drawings, chassis drawings).
  • Maintains a comprehensive Enterprise Configuration Management SharePoint webpage of all drawings.

Education

Associate Degree in related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, and work/military experience.

Qualifications

5-8 years of directly related experience supporting information systems and configuration management or related education/certification

 

Required:

  • Active Directory Account Management
  • Windows Server 2008/2012
  • Windows 7 troubleshooting and OS development
  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Knowledge of information technology equipment such as routers, switches, voice, and video equipment.
  • Must possess appropriate DoD information assurance (IA) certification to be considered for employment (such as CompTIA Security+CE or CCNA Security) and a Computing Environment Certification prior to hire date.
  • Due to the sensitive nature of the work being done for this government client; all candidates must hold a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Desired:

  • Experience with Cisco Unity Call Manager (CUCM)
  • Experience with Video Teleconferencing (VTC) equipment
  • Experience with Visio, AutoCAD, or any other type of drawing tool
  • Familiarity with trouble ticketing systems.
  • Experience with Configuration Management

Must possess appropriate current DOD Information Assurance (IA) certification to be considered for employment; i.e., CompTIA Security+CE, or CCNA-Security. CompTIA Security+CE is the preferred certification. In addition must attain the required DOD 8570 Computing Environment (CE) certification within six (6) months of hire date. Due to the sensitive nature of the work performed for this government customer, candidates must be willing to submit to and pass a polygraph

 

As part of your role/function on the program, you will be granted privileged user access. Privileged Users are subject to greater scrutiny as a direct result of the significant responsibilities placed upon them. Please be aware that because of these critical duties, you will be subject to additional IT system monitoring, and supervisory evaluation to ensure continuous adherence to Privileged User processes and procedures. Privileged Users are subject to a zero tolerance policy for security violations.

 

Because of the sensitive nature of the work being done for this government client, all candidates must hold a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
