    This Surge Team Service Desk Specialist position is an opportunity for candidates who are looking for a challenging, fast-paced environment. We are looking for experienced Service Desk Specialists who want to work with the latest technologies as part of a traveling team supporting unique customer needs.


    Responsibilities Include: 

    1. Provides first contact and incident resolution to customers with hardware, software, and desktop application issues. Including customer walk-ins, customer telephone support and electronically submitted requests.
    2. Installs, configures, and upgrades computer hardware and software.
    3. Provides end-user software troubleshooting and support.
    4. Applies advanced diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions.
    5. Attempts to resolve incidents during the first contact and escalates incidents to higher Tier II or Tier III when required
    6. Provides answers to Frequently Asked Questions or solutions to common problems as part of a customer self-help capability
    7. Provides polite and friendly customer service for local and off-site users.
    8. Provides guidance to less-experienced technicians.
    9. Documents incident status and solutions in incident database tools.

    This position requires 80% plus travel to support worldwide missions.  Travel can range from one week to six months.


    1. Requires a High School Diploma or GED.

    2. Associate's Degree preferred.



    1. 1-3 years of directly related experience supporting help desk operations or customer service.
    2. Security + CE Certification 
    3. A Computing Environment certification meeting DOD 8570.01-M and IAT Level I.
    4. SECRET clearance
