  • Job Description

    This is a great opportunity for a junior level Subcontracts Analyst looking to advance or a mid-level subcontracts administrator wanting to work with a brilliant team of subcontracts professionals that are focused on developing a reputation for providing excellent internal customer service.




    In this role, you will represent subcontracts by supporting specific business objectives under the Federal Civilian vertical.  You will be working with senior staff that are developing a reputation for being subcontract subject matter experts and will have the opportunity to grow your subcontracts skills and knowledge.  You will specifically be responsible for subcontract administration, to include issuing RFPs, analyzing subcontractor proposals, marketing research to support source selection, negotiating prices and terms and conditions, and awarding legally binding subcontract agreements.  Subcontract support will be cradle to grave starting with proposal support and ending with subcontract closeout. 


    Office location will be in the Fairfax, VA/Fairview, VA area.   


    You will have the opportunity to participate in working groups to improve the processes, policies and practices as the department works to transform the already approved DCMA purchasing systems to a best in class model for industry. 



    Required Skills for a Subcontracts Analyst:

    • is familiar with FAR and other regulatory requirements
    • is able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
    • is beginning to understand and refine skills in :
    • the fundamentals of contracting including offer, acceptance, consideration and intent to create a legal relationship
    • the principles of fair and reasonable pricing (price analysis) and price negotiations
    • identifies risks in subcontracts terms and conditions and facilitates the mitigation of those risks through communication with program managers, business operations, and subcontracts managers.
    • is familiar with the Microsoft suite including word and excel.

    Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.


    2-5 years of related experience in contracts administration.
