  • Job Description

    GDIT is currently looking for a Biomedical Repair Technician to support the Naval Medical Research Unit (NAMRU) at Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. NAMRU is a major research center conducting medical, craniofacial, directed energy, and biomedical research which focuses on ways to enhance the health, safety, performance, and operational readiness of Navy and Marine Corps personnel and addresses their emergent medical and oral/facial problems in routine and combat operations.

    Job Duties to Include:

    • Responsible for the repair and maintenance of dental products and equipment related to research. Able to install, maintain, service, modify, troubleshoot and calibrate a variety of environmental compliance devices by interpreting engineering and vendor information, schematic diagrams and graphic illustrations.
    • Familiar with Navy’s Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support System (DMLSS) in order to document maintenance of equipment for research under contract. Must display careful attention to detail.

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of related scientific experience.
