Fabricates, installs, maintains, and repairs electronic, mechanical, and/or other types of components and equipment. Specifically storage area networks, the installation, maintenance, upgrading of major storage network OEMs. Hardware break-fix maintenance and troubleshooting. Storage network troubleshooting. Working with help desks, logistics networks, knowledge bases, and proceudres.
Physically installing new storage area networks from the ground up, including racking of equipment, running of communications and power cables, connecting to network and configuring IP addresses, and bringing equipment up to current code levels.
Permorming and troubleshooting scheduled code upgrades on storage arrays, storage switches, and others, often times after normal business hours.
Frequent travel among supporting DoD and other sites in EMEA region.
Requires personal vehicle for reimbursed travel.
Top Secret clearance heavily prefered, but would consider secret with ability to obtain top secret.
Position is listed in Kaiserslaughtern, but a different area in Germany is negotiable. This position will work from residence, and will not be expected to report to an office everyday, but time management and flexibilty is needed.

As the traumatic brain injury (TBI) Pathway of Care manager within the Military Health System (MHS), the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) promotes state-of-the-science care from point-of-injury to reintegration for service members, veterans, and their families to prevent and mitigate consequences of mild to severe TBI.

The Research Psychologist develops, implements and conducts brain injury clinical investigations in collaboration with other investigators. The Research Psychologist writes and/or collaboratively writes research protocols, manuscripts, abstracts, grant applications, and other research-related assignments as determined or approved by DVBIC Principal Investigators
Primary Responsibilities Include:
but are not limited to
- Developing; implementing and conducting clinical and translational brain injury investigations in collaboration with other investigators.
- Writing and/or collaboratively writing research protocols; manuscripts; abstracts; grant applications; and other research-related assignments as determined or approved by Defense & Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) Principal Investigators /Director.
- Active involvement in DVBIC-related research studies which may include protocols designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of various drugs or treatments thought to have potential benefits in the post-injury treatment of traumatic brain injury subjects.
- Preparing and/or presenting research related manuscripts; scientific articles; posters; grant applications; and protocols.
- Participating in DVBIC directed education/training processes as determined or approved by the DVBIC Investigators/Director.
- Participating in traumatic brain injury related research and research dissemination activities as determined or approved by the DVBIC Principal Investigators/Director.
- Developing and maintains professional relationships with a variety of public and private sector brain injury clinical investigations; academic; and funding sources; with an emphasis on developing and supporting future protocols.
- Performing research; analysis; development; and evaluation of systems; procedures; and models in assigned functional area.
- Analyzing and defining problems and researching possible solutions that afford maximum probability for profit or effectiveness in relation to cost or risk.
- Preparing models of problems using multiple equations that relate constants and variables; restrictions; alternatives; conflicting objectives; and their numerical parameters.
- Defining data requirements and gathers and validates information; applying judgment and statistical tests.
- Analyzing and organizing technical data and reports into summaries for management review; defining problem; evaluation; and possible solution(s).
- Performing validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy; and determines need for reformulation;
- Utilizing complex systems and applications in the problem-solving process
- May design; conduct; and evaluate experimental operational models where insufficient data exists to formulate model.

The Software Engineer will design, develop, code, test, and debug complex new software products, or make significant enhancements to existing software. REQUIRED SKILLS:
